Hydrographer Canyon Trip

19 August 2007

Created by Blair Nikula

The shearwater illustrated below was photographed at the mouth of Hydrographer Canyon (approximately 39°58.44N and 68°59.20W) on 19 August 2007.  It apparently is an Audubon's Shearwater with an extremely worn tail.  The outer primary tips are also distinctly worn, but otherwise the plumage looks very fresh.
